About Moderate Glutton

I’m Tripp — a home cook, engineer, and Type 1 diabetic who overthinks just about every meal. This site is where I log what I’m cooking, experimenting with, and where I am eating — mostly around Houston, occasionally far beyond.

I’m not a chef. I don’t sell spice blends or write recipes with 18 prep bowls (yet). I’m just someone trying to eat better, cook smarter, and understand food a little more deeply.

Being diabetic forces a certain balance — indulgence meets moderation — which is where the name Moderate Glutton comes from.

You’ll find dinner logs, kitchen experiments, restaurant notes, and the occasional rant. Use it however you want: for ideas, inspiration, or just to avoid doing whatever you should be.
